I have never once considered conventional commits to be about human understanding, but more about automation (release notes, changelogs, and workflows). The commit description and the pull request are for humans.

They don't need a new protocol to deliver a stable and sufficient product for their customers, I agree. I'm suggesting that a new protocol needs hype for adoption and reinventing email needs new capabilities
