You may want to check your premise. Just because you weren't aware of the early stages of Falcon development doesn't mean it went quickly. Not even accounting for the fact this is orders of magnitude more complex and will be a hug

I use all three browsers (FF for personal, Edge for work and on my Surfaces, Chrome on my chromebooks). Edge on Surfaces is the fastest and tbh these days I like Firefox over Chrome in every way, and don't notice a speed difference. I
