Groovy is a dynamic language that runs in the JVM, it lets you put @CompileStatic at the top of every class. I believe typescript also has options for compiling statically.

The hate against spring on hacker news is so ridiculous. Spring boot is one of the easiest lowest boilerplate ways to build anything, period. Especially if you use a type dynamic language on top, like groovy or kotlin or whatever.

There is a limited amount of orbit space and limited amount of satellites that can be launched. Building too much infrastructure around them is risky and not a good idea for long term stability.
