I used to manage a team of 12 young interns and graduates. They almost all hated emails and hated making calls. They would always default to messaging/Teams/etc. I spent a lot of time coaching people on how to make calls, why etc.

I assume the cars with active telemetry have a SIM card of some description. You could remove it/disable it but you'd lose app access and remote control features. I know of people doing this in Toyotas.
