The jit has more information about runtime behaviour. The question is though whether haskell's or similar slightly more advanced type systems aren't able to compensate for that.

To some extent that's rather a problem of a missing moderator (especially in usenet groups and mailing list mirrors). I could also understand though if some moderators simply gave up to manually mark spam posts.

It's a bit unfair if you take into account for how long the vim-latex suite is around. Back then in the old days, plugins had dull names, snippets were called templates, and the people on #vim probably just learned to spell their names.
