We can't hold back the world because of some lazy UI Devs, I can't believe we still facing scaling issues in 2024! My solution, under Linux, I get laptop screens with 2X scaling, i.e. 2.8K and 3.2K for larger laptops.

Weird! Here in UK, using microG, banking apps for Nationwide, Starling, Revolut, HSBC all work with no issues. Generally, I face no issue using any app. Location services and notification both work reliably.

I bought a Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5, 7840HS. First order, it had coil whine, rattling touchpad and a corrupted edid. Second order, it also had coil whine, rattling and non-working touchpad. I'm truly puzzled.

If you're referring to Vivid Resourcing, they're truly horrible, I got interrogated by them for 30+ mins and they disappear, happened twice so it can't be a one off!

Why the down votes for this comment? My Android does have that option, under: Hotspot and tethering > Allow clients to use VPNs. Note however, my ROM is based on LineageOS, probably the reason why not everyone got it?

I feel your pain, I've been there. My advice, get a job around (but not in) London area, if not, get a remote role with a company in south, that gave me a bump from 35k to 71k. Even better, leave perm and get a contract (outside IR35),

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 AMD Gen 1 here. My experience is totally different, using Fedora 36, everything works! Battery life I have no exact numbers, but definitely way more than 3 hours.

I won't bore you with the details, but things are locked down and a dev folder structure is assumed and baked into the build system, both for sources and dependencies.
