Does the author realize that the actiontec router can be disabled and used just like a cable modem? That's what I do at home and use a WRT54G instead. I also use opendns instead of Verizon's DNS servers. Latency is pretty low for me.

I'm gonna go ahead and add DC to the mix. It has 3 airports, an excellent metro and bus system, Verizon FIOS, relatively cheap out in the exburbs or apartments in formerly sketchy neighborhoods, and great proximity to NYC. The only issues a

Be wary of the Indian companies that will do it for pennies per hour. Sure it's cheap but the code is crap, or even worse than crap: they will just slice your PSDs and use Adobe's built in web page creator which will mean your site will con

Maybe invest $100-200 in microloans but Kiva at least doesn't pay you any interest on the loans. I don't know about the other two organizations. These are different from charities in that they aren't tax deductible so if that's important fo

This is the one I finally decided on and signed up for today, thanks! I'd heard about it before and it looked like a pretty good deal. What made me finally decide was that they had a fairly low minimum deposit, low fees, and they let you wi

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not going to be trading that frequently. I just want to make sure that the brokerage I use doesn't charge excessive fees because I will be trading with such a low amount of money for a relatively short term. I'l

Definitely charge people extra for making intranet sites IE 6 compatible because they have control over that and they should upgrade. Otherwise you can consider a small surcharge for IE6 on internet sites but it's kind of unfair to punish y
