I use Unity too. Even for 2d I think it is the best cross platform game engine if you don't mind spending some money. The latest Rovio 2d physics game even uses it. I used to be all about HTML5 but after a while I realized that I don't like

I hate how slow it is. After I get to the commit screen it thrashes my CPU and takes ages before my typing shows up. It's still the best on OSX though.

Actually it looks like the web view of iTunes Connect sales reports has data up to yesterday and my sales went back up. So, I'm not really seeing any change and I'm as "indie" as they come.

I definitely agree. His piece is flawed but it's interesting. I would say that the author is simply against huge corporations, and all the good and bad things that go with them. Would we be better off with only small businesses? I think not
