My theory (from anecdotal use) is that the OOXML complexity also explains why M365 office implementation is lacking in so many features and is just not very good at all when compared to the Google office suite. I do have strong memories of

I have been getting into electronics a fair bit in the last year. I always find Dave jones from EEVblog entertaining. Dave does some simple back of the napkin calculations in this video to pull apart the claims of [reflectorbital]( https:&#

I like your nuanced observation here. It reminds me of a quote I come back to often when I am seeing toxic behaviour in some organisations. > Dysfunctional behaviour is ubiquitous and systemic, not because people are wicked but because t

I also use NixOS, but if the target was not NixOS, I don't think you should be requesting the set up as needing fixing by the author. It just doesn't sound right - or maybe it is just me. NixOS isn't the defacto standard, and

Cody is great, it had become my go-to (and I pay for Github Co-pilot). With that said, they have recently changed the architecture, with the local install required, and I have not managed (yet) to get it working with NixOS. Once I have some

Drake's book looks great. I appreciate his efforts to create a mental model and learning approach to NixOS. I found a set of tutorials on YouTube by Will, to be incredibly helpful at the beginning of my NixOS journey. Even though these

No cover on this one unless you are a U.S customer ... oh well. My MBP 2017 was an absolute disaster. The last time they fixed the kb issue for me (3x issues with that for me) it immediately afterwards got the infamous cablegate issue (anot

Interesting response here in the issues. The project is still active. It seems that feature requests and issues are not being asked of the project. https://github.com/mustafaakin/gongular/issues/21

Hi Julian, I just had a play with Garnix - and have to say I am impressed. Nicely executed. Nice to see nix and flakes hitting hackernews through projects/services like this.

You may want to consider a meta-framework for the same reason I did. I also code on my own. I was interested in building stuff, but had little time to learn everything I needed to from the bottom up to glue everything together. Redwoodjs us

I have done syncing with pass between multiple clients (and android) using syncthing or git. Either option has worked fine. For some reason I prefer syncthing. The android client works perfectly well.

I like it - I am also a fan of Excaldraw. I noticed some kind of error coming up in trying to export to pdf - other than that it seems to be working well. I am using the following set up ``` uname -a Linux arch-t460p 5.14.16

I was reading through the comments wondering why so many technically capable people are paying for a password store service when passwordstore works nicely in the space and gives you some comfort in knowing how it works. I highly recommend

There are some very good reasons not to short tether which are listed at the below link. The source of this is bitfinexed has been railing against tether since 2017 and has been a thorn in Bitfinex/Tether's sides for a long time.

This site is amazing. I love it. As a side project, while teaching my kids, I have been building a site for using python for maths for the same target audience (10 - 16 year olds). I plan on continuing to add to it as I give 1-to-1 support

I thought that was the case too for a while. I felt this was a really interesting piece explaining how covid deaths are reported deaths versus flu deaths are just estimated and how the two are very different numbers to base comparisons off.

Scanner Pro does the OCR - and it was implied (due to the need for the correct name) that the categorisation is a mapping from the name used for the scanned OCRed file. That is my take from it. I could be wrong.
