Whether it is stupid, even if we're just going to assume such a thing can be viewed objectively, is beside the point. If you think it is stupid, don't use it. If you want your money back because you bought something that you didn't properly

If you don't like a product, don't use it. If you don't properly research a product, don't complain about its features. Do some research next time. Take responsibility for your actions instead of blaming others. These are elementary princip

AppFog wants to make developer platforms load slowly and be so disorganized and haphazard that you can't tell what's going on... great.

When I read the title, I really got my hopes up that this was about replacing the steering wheel, pedals, shifter, etc. I was sorely disappointed... this is just another rehash.

A great example of this, and I believe the best, is OS X. It's not subscription based, but it's affordable and recurring.

Writer must be new; Apple seldom sells out, and when they do, it's for a day or two at the most.

If you want your website, app, whatever to look like it was made by someone who dedicates their time and energy to design, you'd better find someone who meets that description.

'Disrupt' now means 'force adverts and consumerism instead of create value' in case you didn't know. The author has a grim view of the future and wants to run toward it... is this normal?

What evidence is there that Apple intends to make a slightly smaller non retina iPad? This sounds ridiculous...

Right. Wanting to be remembered is just as selfish of an act as attaching your name to a donation. Whether Jobs donated anonymously or didn't donate at all, I can respect him so much more for not chasing attention and approval.

It's funny when people who won't be remembered at all try to detract from the legacies of great people. Okay not funny, just stupid. Gladwell has joined the ranks of those who make ridiculous statements about things they are ignorant of jus

Oh so you have Jobs' personal finance records? That's amazing! And you're breaking the news here on HN of all places! Okay but seriously, you don't have a clue what Jobs did with his money and neither do I. So there's no point speculating.

I wouldn't pay a single cent to HBO. I would, on the other hand, pay $40 via iTunes per season of Game of Thrones. Networks are outdated. Stop trying to change them and adapt like the rest of us.

I'd say you should compare Apple's and Google's sales reports.

With advertising and spec sheets like this, you're right. But if they tried a little, their demographic could be massive.

The end result is the same. Who are you to tell me how I should arrive there? I don't write vanilla HTML, but your tool of choice doesn't need to be mine. That's a choice for the individual to make and whatever they decide is fine. What's n

Connects automatically when in range of any supported network even when device is in sleep mode. What a wonderful way to needlessly drain your battery. If your device is asleep during your commute, do you really expect it to have any charge

Naive question: The author says image views are a subset of page views. Is this accurate when the photos are shown in a light box capable of cycling through thousands of photos without leaving the initial page?

Downvoted for asking for evidence of claims... Claims that the author admits many of the professionals he trusted enough to ask for guidance also raised. You've gone soft, HN.

I would argue that the same callous personality evidenced in a person capable of infidelity would also come into play when considering whether or not to reveal said infidelity. Wouldn't you agree?

Who are you to decide what is offensive and what should and should not be posted? And yes I read the article and no I am not so foolish as to believe that there is only one possible cause for every result.

So there was a paternity test, right? I'm assuming there was and it just wasn't mentioned in the write up. The author states with authority that he is the father, but doesn't mention the tests confirming it whereas every other finding is li

If you've used the app, you know that something isn't right here. Seems like(and reads like, especially compared to other app store reviews) these are being written by Yahoo employees trying to avoid a lay off.
