yes, the "common cold" can be carried by rhinoviruses, coronaviruses, influenza viruses (maybe a mild case of 'flu' mistaken as a cold), and adenoviruses. this list is not comprehensive.

This is good advice for a "one device does it all" setup. My personal setup is actually running the hap AC lites as access points, via CAPsMAN. I do routing on a hex Gr3. The hap ac lites are great value for a dual-radio 2.4/

For the extra $1-2/mo, I think a $5 DigitalOcean ubuntu/similar droplet provides a ton of value, above and beyond just hosting a "static" site at the cheapest place for less. Want email too? ez. Virtual Hosts? ez. SOCKs
