I built something like this (a long time ago) for my own purposes. So did a startup we're working with! That says there might be a need for it, but on the downside it's really simple to build, so competition can spring up very quickly.

So the difficulty ramps up like this: it goes from 1 to 100 every 60 seconds, spawning more difficult enemies as it increases. The difficulty increases faster the more damage you've taken. Once it reaches 100, it spawns dragons, resets to 0

1. Wait for user input before loading 2. Load up a "sound sprite" (kind of like a sprite sheet for audio) since iOS only supports playing one sound at a time 3. PROFIetc.

I love me some Winamp. Since switching to a Mac, it's one of only a few apps that I miss terribly. But if it doesn't support the media controls on a Mac keyboard, it just cannot compete with iTunes. Period.

I'm one of the Lost Decade Games guys, we used the Game Closure SDK for our game Onslaught!, which is what allowed us to release on both iPad and Android. Really amazing SDK, makes cross-platform development fun and easy.
