Why does the youtube miniplayer suck so much?! X has the best one i've seen on any platform. You can actually pop the player out of the browser and move it anywhere you want and it has 0 chrome just a window with the video in it amaz

Seems like Starlink has potential to completely disrupt undersea cables once the network is larger. Obviously it wont ever be the same latency or bandwidth as an undersea cable but it would be near impossible to tap and much cheaper.

dropbox did something useful. It made it easy to share files across platforms and the web. This is a feature that should be part of your calendar software to allow people to create calendar entries in your calendar and see availability.

Is it a big secret that m1 macs don’t work with external monitors?? The problem has been getting worse with each new forced update. Using my monitor via HDMI and apples 100$ dongle it constantly turns off randomly and will not come back on

I found https://mosh.org/ quite useful to get a working ssh session thru the GFW. The GFW can introduce latency and packet loss to encrypted connections which mosh seems to handle nicely.

i'm on a 2013 mac book pro retina and see no reason to upgrade to the latest model. If it died tomorrow i'd look for a refurbed 2015 model. Mostly i blame intel for not releasing mobile chipsets capable of more than 16GB of ram bu

really cool idea but it didn't work for me. It distorted the logo and made it look much worse. Would be great if you generated a unique url for each icon that is uploaded so i could share it with you.

i was hoping this was a library that would help me to disable pull to refresh. Anyone know of a good library that can help to disable this in browsers? Pull to refresh on mobile chrome or safari is really terrible ux for web apps. It'

I think for fb to enter china it would first need to allow china to spy on its citizens. This censorship tool is just something they can publicly say they changed to allow them in.

If windows was free for schools, consumers and developers for the last 15 years I think the tech landscape would look much different than it does today in Microsofts favour. Also I dont think that it would affect their revenue that much.

Eventually consumers will figure out what most of this crowd probably knows already. If you want the best android phone experience with the cleanest implementation and the most updates buy the phones produced / branded google.

I used to only use textmate because eclipse/adt was soooo slow. Since adt 12 is out and i have a brand new iMac eclipse is working just fine for me now. That said i still use ant to manually compile my releases.
