I'm not sure what a right to water really means. A lot of rural cities don't even provide water. People have wells and you pay for them yourself.

Every device requires a random product key issued by apple and they’re not supposed to be reused. No good way to get around that except buying an Apple device and taking its key.

For most products the LED is not a simple on/off indicator. It signals device state, user confirmations, ota updates, etc etc etc. I’m at a loss for how you would signal all of that without a GPIO.

Yes the security guard’s footage would have copyright protection. However, a security guard is also typically paid and under contract. It’s a commissioned work. Same as when hiring a software engineer.

That was a terrible ruling. It should be about who got the camera there and set it up, not who pushed the button. With automated recording (dashcams) there isn't even "a button." Hopefully no judge uses that as precedence.

I disagree. If patents are to exist there is no reason software that should be an exception. Us programmers are essentially arranging blocks. And if you arrange them in a special way you can get your stylus to follow them in amazing ways.

It's not car makers. It's car buyers. When a car buyer cannot afford self driving they'll just drive themselves. The bar should be safer than a human and as affordable as possible.

If your goal is to make roads safer then making self driving more expensive and harder to afford will have the opposite effect. * with prerequisite that "safer than the avg human" is the minimum bar for any system.
