I was diagnosed with T2 diabetes. Changed my diet to lots of veggies, fruits, beans and legumes. Symptoms disappeared. At first I was heavy on meat when I removed the carbs but it didn't help at all.

No, there has been no evidence. Yes, consuming high amounts of fructose on a daily basis has some serious side effects. Consuming the same amount of glucose doesn't. This just means that the amount of fructose intake should be moderate
