Still no template inheritance! I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when that's the one feature I need / care about and none of the newer template languages implement it. I'm spoiled from Django/Jinja2/twig.

I think you're missing the point of Dan's article. For me, the takeaway from that was "giving yourself too concrete of goals too fast will often lead to abandonment of the entire process to preserve your ego". While I do agree solid goals

Node.js can be made to be plenty writeable and readable once you wrap your head around asynchronous programming. I'd write everything in my life in an asynchronous way if I could.

Their event listings used to be my go-to place to find out about concerts. The problem is they have a bug they've never fixed (after at least 2 years) where you can't see events happening on the current night. I think it's related to time
