Yea something like that would be necessary in the long run, or just use the event creation cookie user to moderate the rsvps. (or you can create private events)

Ofc, don’t have to moderate every randomly submitted event, but I am planning to add a moderation page to delete or filter offensive events.

It's similar, but not that good as Mobilizon, Im focusing on simplicity with an improved UI and experience. I'm assuming easier to spin up a new instance on your own, but this is my personal opinion.

Ofc, I want to use a vanilla rsvp platform, you mentioned tools which are more than that. That's not a problem just I don't need those stuffs... and I want to selfhost my services.
