But look on the bright side, now anyone can vibe-code their own, personalized to-do app. This is just the price we pay for progress.

We could solve even more crimes if the police were allowed to install cameras in everyone's homes.

People in the Amazon do eat tarantulas. They do roast them over an open flame first though to burn off the hairs as they can be harmful and irritating.

Don’t worry, my kids eat the skin too. I guess we forgot to tell them not to and they didn’t find it unpleasant. I tried a bite for my own edification and I did not find it pleasant. That said, I usually eat peanuts with the shell and all.

Not familiar with that one at all, was it also a doom conversion? I’ll have to check it out.

The concept reminds of Chex Quest, a Doom total conversion based on Chex, the cereal brand. I loved playing it when I was 8 or so. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chex_Quest

Because my 12 mini still works just fine and I haven’t needed a new phone yet.

Not that I’ve seen really, but I haven’t looked much outside the mainstream as my 12 mini is still going strong. But seems I’m either in a real minority with regards to phone size preference, or at least the manufacturers believe I am.

I keep waiting but the phones only get bigger. Seems I’ll have to eventually replace my iPhone 12 mini with a 13 mini, or ditch Apple entirely. The Google Nexus 4 was my all time favorite smart phone in terms of overall size. But I suppose

But consumers still pay it. No one has to play video games. I am in no way defending Sony here but I think it’s beside to the point to chastise them for selling a worse product (I mean revocable license) for the same price because consumers

Cold hard cash. If they want my input, they can pay me for my time. If it’s a small or local business that I like patronizing then I might do something small for them out of generosity and a desire to see them succeed in place of some large

Procedural generation is not gameplay. Procedural generation makes your already fun game more interesting via more variety. If you don’t already have a fun game, then pro gen won’t make it any more fun than it already is. It turns a fun 1-h

Some kind of infant and toddler childcare is necessary, whether it’s daycare, friends, family, or neighbors. Trying to raise an infant or toddler without other people caring for them at least some of the time will make most people slowly go

Your phrasing betrays your bias. Having kids in childcare is not the downfall of society, and in some ways is similar to The Way Things Used To Be. My youngest goes to pre-school childcare where he gets to interact with kids and parents fro

Given that these ad networks have actually served real malware on normally trustworthy sites (even nytimes was affected) the meme is essentially true even today. Ad blockers are malware protection.

I have a 2019 Forester so I think I just missed that. There’s a panel where the preset buttons for seat position profiles would be if I had paid for that feature. Seat position profiles is a great feature, making it automatic is completely

So a robot takes his job: who feeds and houses him? Or is he supposed to just go down a few rungs on the job ladder and take a worse job robots can’t currently do?

Truthfully, it’s very hard to find them these days, in my experience. Around 2005-2015 they seemed to be everywhere and were tasty options on their own merits. Every once in a while I’ll still find them in the grocery store but it’s hard. T
