Have you considered opening a staging or experimental branch on a subdomain perhaps? I think people would definitely be interested in testing out new features before they're released without hosting it themself, and I believe you said

It doesn't seem HTML-first though. Also the Github description says it's a library of web components, this may be misleading because this project doesn't use Web Components.
