Yes, it now works in Zoom, but not in Webex, unfortunately. That's been a big obstacle for me. I'd need to be able to share individual windows with audio.

A very similar function was just added to Microsoft PowerToys 0.95 recently, called Light Switch[1]. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but basically does the same task, including switching modes automatically based on sunris

Looks like MacOS and iOS only, which is unfortunate. Support for at least Windows and Android is needed for wider adoption. Linux would also be nice.

The problem is the networking effect. Since so many people use iOS, even Android users often have to contact people on iOS devices, resulting in Briar likely remaining very niche.

Unfortunately, iOS simply does not allow apps like Briar to run reliably in the background[1]. Unless Apple changes its thinking about iOS, Briar or other similar apps would never work reliably. [1] https://developer.apple.com&#

If you're using Gnome, you could try the system-monitor-next extension[1]. The main thing to note when installing for the first time is that you'll also need to install a few system packages[2]. [1] https://extensions.

This all looks fine for developing server apps that don't need a GUI, particularly as long as 3D accelerated graphics aren't needed. You don't even need to be using/developing a 3D game or application, just using a mode
