Nobody is sure how they did it. Or even if it comes from iCloud. The leakers themselves claim it was from iCloud (the actual leaker only bought it online from various hackers though, again according to him).

Well first it uses .edu domain name, indicating that it's something else than it is. Then it lures you in with a "download thesis" tease, with a big DOWNLOAD HERE link. Then it forces you to fill in pages and pages and pages

This one I agree with, but telco is basically an oligopoly anyway (created by a necesitty). There needs to be a regulation, because it's not a free market. You cannot just created a new operator because everything is licensed.
