Don't waste your time writing a lengthy cover letter to this company. I applied a couple of months ago, and they didn't even bother sending me a standard rejection email. Very unprofessional.

From my experience and for the music I listen to, Discogs has much more detail compared to Musicbrainz. I think a good 50% of my local music is missing from Musicbrainz. When the release is present, almost always it's missing different

One could say that providing Python modules is an OS concern as well. Debian IMHO has the worst take on that (see the venv module). Pyenv definitely solves it, but I talked about an officially supported solution.

I don't genuinely understand what's wrong with setup.py and why people wouldn't just use setuptools, as it is even suggested by PyPA. IMHO Python should improve what it already has instead of pushing the usage of third party

I don't use Spotify just because whole genres are not there. And I'm not talking about some obscure music from 150 years ago. Even Jungle Tekno from the early to mid 90s can't be found. The only sources are some 50 years old
