It often feels like product ratings. Only the people who didn't like it bother to write a review. The silent majority that's there for the subconsciously gets affected by the toxicity though.

Couldn't get to the bottom of it but seems like a really well-researched article. I would love to one day visit a Japanese hot spring but the nakedness factor is a bit off-putting.
