Hi Tim. I liked your work with dart/flutter. Are you guys working on overhauling Xcode? The DX is atrocious.

I have a kid (5~8 range) and what we did was to limit PC consumption, avoid getting our kid a tablet and cellphone. It has been really good and my kid still has his/her innocence intact. Hopefully this will continue until adolescence.

I deleted my FB account six years ago, and I don't miss it. I use Twitter, Reddit, and occasionally IG (I don't post anything there).

What I'm seeing here is lots of echo chambers getting created as we speak. Threads, bluesky, etc... I don't use Threads because I don't use Instagram that much. Everyone will have their safe space and the world will continue

I beg to differ. It's important because I can equally see both left and right posts. If you consume more left-leaning posts, you'll get more of that content. My feed is Web Dev, Machine Learning, Mobile Dev, etc... you have to be

Musk was left-leaning not so long ago. I follow left-leaning media (WYT, Pod Save America, etc...) and right-leaning media (Ben Shapiro, etc...) equally and see both posts without any issues. If the left-leaning people leave Twitter, the ne

While we're at it, we need to break Microsoft and Amazon asap. I don't know how Microsoft is not up for discussion when it's a behemoth (GitHub, LinkedIn, Azure, Windows, Office, etc.). The same applies for Amazon.

Good initiative but only Google? Here is but a concise list of companies that are in desperate need to be broken apart to foster innovation and entrepreneurship: Amazon: E-commerce, AWS, Twitch. Microsoft: Azure, Office, Windows, Linkedin.

Interesting. We're not taking into account the intangibles, aka people's perception. People are angrier than usual since they feel (and rightly so) they're being displaced from their places. Look at Portugal and Spain.

Hear, hear! There are no outages, hacks, etc... when using cash. I use credit cards as much as anyone else but also use money at every opportunity. Shops need to use collect on delivery as a form of payment too.
