I'm in a similar boat as you - from what I can tell, best bet is to buy from Chrono24, used, from a dealer with good reviews, and pay ~250 additional for chrono24's certification service in which they guarantee its authenticity. I

I 100% agree - I’m only saying hegseth didn’t run an unsecured line into his office himself no? Why didn’t some automated system say “installation of unsecured lines in this building is not possible” or similar To be course : I didn’t think

Not downplaying or defending - but I don’t understand the failure mode here - presumably hegseth had to ask someone in pentagon IT to set this up? Submit a form etc. sure he asked for something illegal* but someone actually following a set

The one thing I wish was better developed is persistence and streaming - they give sample code to stream, but it’s essentially a complete implementation of streaming that every client needs to implement.

Thanks that makes sense - just feels weird to go from years of “be very careful rewriting history with git, especially at work” to jj rewriting everything all the time - can’t shake the feeling there’s a clash somewhere waiting to happen

How does this work with a shared remote branch? I know in git when you alter your history you can do a `git push --force-with-lease` as a safer `--force` - do you have to do this frequently with jj "rewriting history" (from a git

Gnu stow has finally been updated to fix a long standing issue so I can once again wholeheartedly recommend it again! It’s lightweight and uses symlinks. Last I checked, chezmoi has a symlink mode but it’s a bit worse.

I had this exact same experience - it was (and is) hard to explain to other non-religious people who haven't seen it. I'm not even particularly prone to being moved to tears by beauty... one of the few times in my life this happen
