At my workplace they made this decision before I started and I can fully agree with this. It's essentially a typed REST without any of the benefits. No joins, everything is multiple calls away to perform a "full" query. I don

Seconding this. It's the easiest interface I've found by far for domain management. Having only used NameCheap before; it's great. My needs are pretty basic though, just pointing at a couple VPS.

I recently started working at a place which is like this, and the code really shows it. It really does not matter what language is used, it's not going to very maintainable if written so quickly.

Looks like my delay happens when converting between units. It's almost like it prompts me to confirm when I press Enter so I end up having to hit it twice. Other than this it is really great.

I think this a really good approach. We've done something similar by exposing an endpoint and just PUT data to it from the client when something interesting happens. This works really well and the server is free to do whatever with it.
