This is a big assumption. There are levels where the economics don't work out for drivers and riders are willing to pay - it remains to be seen whether are not Uber is profitable at these levels.

The numbers are skewed because the car ownership costs are based on national averages(lower than LA averages, presumably). I think any Angeleno would kill to pay the national average for fuel costs and commute 25.2 miles in 25 minutes.
