The root of the problem I think was caused by allowing institutional funds to invest money in VC firms. You combine that with the majority of the value being generated before they go public and you have a stock market which no longer works

Yeah the bug in the hardware for the disk drive was a bummer. It was supposed to be 4-5 times faster but due to the hardware bug it shipped with a slow workaround. Its kind of amazing that you allow it to ship like that.
