Why use mac at all? If you want a docked machine you can build a PC with the exact specs you want. Throw a Linux distro on it and you will have a similar experience

Plant intelligence is so amazing. There is no evidence for it but I like to imagine trees are a huge mass of neural tissue that is existing and possibly thinking.

You can buy some on the market now, technically they are coil guns I think. Problem is the muzzle velocity is pretty paltry right now. I think we are stuck behind the energy density of the power source

GitHub uptime is cyclical. It's bad because they won't focus on the core, and then the right users complain and GitHub focuses on core again before it repeats. This is just the latest round exacerbated by vibe coding

Practically I would need to wait for hugging face models to adopt this? My harness tokenizer is just an estimate since the model tokenizes on my api calls?

Have you looked at gitlab lately? They have a ton of ai features built in. I'm not a gitlab user, just learning it, so I can't say how half baked they are or not. At a high level though it seems like a huge step forward than GitHu

My engineers write better code when we enforce types. It's easier to do this then retrain everyone on Go and rewrite all our code. New stuff is often in Go now, but prototyping quickly in Python and then enforcing types when we have to

Liquid seems like a better approach from an engineering standpoint because it is non compressible. But then I imagine dealing with liquid is more of a pain than air.

On a task by task basis the code Claude generates is pretty good these days. The biggest issue I see is that it wants to rearchitect the code constantly and I have no faith in my tests anymore because Claude will just "fix" them
