If you work full-time, you are in most countries penalized by progressive taxation; you pay say 20% on the first NN thousand, and then it moves to 40% or something more on the rest (or on everything, in some countries). It seems much better

Dailymail in UK is a really grotty, low-class, nasty paper. I have no opinion about the story - I've not read it, don't know anything about the people involved - but DM is what it is and for non-UK people, want to surface this.
