There is no bait and switch and it's ridiculous to suggest there is. They have a free product and a paid product. They've used the documentation as an awareness channel for the paid product. The paid product influences and pays

When I saw this on HN, I instantly felt terrible for Adam & the team. Happy to see that these comments are mostly supportive, they could have easily piled on the pain. Listen to his podcast episode if you want his raw feelings on this

I've almost had my laptop crushed a few times by people reclining. I don't hate it if they're actually sleeping, but otherwise it's just frustrating to be behind someone reclining.

Is there some kind of cookie hack I can run to get the new UI? Would be nice if engineering posts included a way to change your feature flag so I can experience what is being discussed.

I've asked a few people that I would put in the same class as my clients, and a couple clients as well, if they knew what those terms meant and nobody really knew.

But really, the best line from Good Will Hunting is the "how about them apples" line. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmRe_fK7pbw

2 questions: 1) Why isn't this available in Canada? All of our cars have ODBII after 96 as well. 2) Is there an estimated completion timeline? 2 months? 2 years?

After doing a simple project in it recently, I completely agree. Some day it will be, but not now. Edit: I'm a moron. My comment is about Meteor, not Telescope.

Agreed. People are sure piling on OP for mentioning taxes -- I think you are all interpreting his request as "Stripe, please add tax calculation" but he's only asking for an additional charges field so he can track his subscriptions + taxes

I love Source Code Pro - I keep my editor font size quite large (17-18px depending on the font) and the light variant of Source Code Pro is perfect for the large size.

Man, I wish there was a library to help us normal folk do similar things. The ability to do small video on mobile would rock.

I shouldn't have used the words data loss. Of course it isn't, but he should have backups of his iPhone.

So, your device hit an edge case bug. Why aren't you talking to Apple? They'll have a fix for it, get you to bring it in or send it in. Worst case scenario your edge case cost you some data loss. That certainly doesn't mean their products

I think the vast majority of what Apple does would be considered "safe". But to me, where you see safe I see refined. They focussed on building them better. They focussed on putting in the different radios, better/larger screen, while kee

Shame on Apple for building something light. Why is it a bad thing that they've innovated to the point where they can get the level of quality they're happy with and lowering the weight?

You do understand that businesses exist to make money, right? Profit share is one of the few metrics that matter.

"I was interviewing two accountants to decide who I would use." And this is what makes it a bad analogy to spec work. Spec work is when you say "You 10 people make me a logo, and I'll pay whoever makes the one I like best." Did you get tw
