Look up RSD Tyler on YouTube. On the surface it can seem deeply insincere and shallow but I believe some of techniques taught they can be applied in all areas of life when interacting with people.

This was my initial thought. Then I realised whatever sensors are on-board these things would likely detect incoming pirate attacks (of the physical kind) from miles away (think satellites). At which point nearby naval forces would be alert
