Indeed. Then again "the news" is well known for carefully editorialising things and conflating unverified sources as facts on and off. General journalistic standards have been compromised because there's a race to get the inf

I think it would be safer to remove all political posts from social media (both sides) as policy. There is a massive propaganda war on both sides and all it does is amplify sentiment, create further division, hurt more people and compromise

Had no problems anywhere in the UK in recent years on 4G and I've been all over the place. 4G has been incredibly reliable for me. Even on a £10/month SIM only thing, I was up a volcano in the middle of nowhere in Iceland and able

I think the point is the signal to noise ratio is poor. But it's less bad than everywhere else I find.

To be fair we were doing this in the 80s with crappy M42 lenses and slightly less scientific method. Pentax 50mm one that came with your GDR clunker could be pushed pretty hard if you were on a budget. The main reason for this though was to

Sometimes we do gold plating intentionally because the new tasks are stupid or will compromise the business and we’re trying to make them go away.

Conversely my iPhone 13 Pro was taken all round the world and been soaked through, frozen and dropped tens of times in snow and a river. The clear TPU case looked like a water puzzle on a regular basis. Apple replaced the battery in it last

Race to the bottom propelled by the current fad here we come. Duolingo has been completely fucking useless for me compared to spending a few hours in the country in question though. It's pretty much HOW DO I GO LEFT AT THE BAKERY level

In software this is a reboot or an apology to a client. In aerospace this is dead people.

That’s literally what they have done. My iPhone 15 tells me the battery install date, the cycle count, the remaining life estimate and what performance profile it is using which can be overridden.

It used to be the OS I want. They cut the 10 years LT support to 5 years.

I think this was done with good intent but could have been handled better. But you can't satisfy anyone these days. All that happens is a YT celebrity does a hit job on Apple and everyone dogpiles on. Just yesterday I was speaking to s

I dunno their mice are ok. I've got a G203 on the PC and an MX Master 3 on the mac and they are both excellent. The G203 is the best mouse I've used since the MS optical mice. Only downside is you have to turn all the RGB lights c

Some people feel validated by causing or supporting moral outrage on behalf of others as it feels like they are safeguarding them. I'm just happy some people are keeping the yiff community in mind :)

According to OECD Health at a Glance 2023, Iceland is the highest per-capita consumer of tranquilizers. YMMV. I did go there last year and I'm not sure I'd want to live there. Nice place to visit though and mostly nice people (apa

Actually I may be wrong there. I was on 200Gb with Apply Family but have stuck 50GB on top of that for £0.99 month. I can only swap that out for a 200GB increment. This is weird because I'm sure you used to be able to do that.

You can chuck as many 50GB increments on your 200GB if you need it.

The company's vision as a whole is to throw some effort at everything and write off what turns out crap. Everyone I knew was on board with that. I was not. That's not a vision, that's distributed incompetence.

I really wish they would just piss off with this. I have found no actual real world life improvements on the windows ecosystem from the integration of copilot at all. Anything that it has attempted to do actually removed the determinism I h
