He complains that DynamoDB doesn't work for him, then says you should instead use Google BigTable. But he doesn't offer evidence why you should use BigTable. And just says that it works for him. I don't buy it. I've used

Agreed. This is more about seeing the perspective of the employer than the employee. Managers who claw their way up expect employees to do the same. Also, it'd be interesting to see his manager's perspective in this all as he claw

I don't think thats true. I work at a startup that's recently raised our series B, and I use our customer service all the time. I always get excellent response times, and I'm treated just like every other user of our product.
