what phone does it fit on? I have the X3 coming today for this very reason. The x4 is just too big and the magnets misplaced to fit on any phone I own

I’m making an RPG Engine/toolset (i.e. Final Fantasy SNES or Game boy) that targets iOS/Android and the tools themselves are shippable in the mobile client (or web if you want some actual screen real estate)

I'm with you. But what phone are you using day to day? I keep watching for linux phones or even start to wonder if Apple is finally the "lesser of two evils" :/

I just saw a blog post they’re working on this in the official app, though! Finally. Fingers crossed.

My wife took me to see him a few years ago and I'm so glad. One of the most influential people in rock and roll for sure and I hope in time more people realize that. RIP to a real one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-

For me, must have: - Wireless Charging Nice to Have: - Higher refresh rate screen! Just because we're small doesn't mean we need to have worse feature sets!

I've never really considered it a feeling of doom. It only lasts a partial second or two and you don't really have time to feel anything. I mean, it literally can take your heart going 400 beats a minute, stop it, and instantly st

My Fitbit Versa is my favorite smartwatch (and I have two Android Wear watches in a drawer that couldn't get one full WORK day of battery) I'd love to see the Pebble hardware running Android Wear (maybe fixed by Fitbit to last lon

Just try and recognize you're not the only person on the internet. Do right by them, and if you fuck up, apologize and move on. If you're getting angry that you (might) upset someone else you need to take a hard look in the mirro

I second almost everything here. Mainly: > "with AI enrichment of contacts" What does this mean? Sounds vague and scary. and > I dislike the "Y" over "Why" in "Y not trust us". Is this supposed

100%. Tesla is THE car for long roadtrips in the US and the narrative otherwise needs to stop. CURRENT Superchargers charge up to 600 miles per hour. COMPLETELY dead to COMPLETELY full is like 30 minutes. But most stops to charge will onl

They changed their branding 2-3 months ago. I thought it was weird at first, but it's kinda working. I'm personally sick of all the nice car commercials looking more like a Calvin Klein cologne ad.

How to better my mental health while simultaneously figure out how to share some of the knowledge I've obtained over the past few years with others (conferences? blogs? teaching? I don't know. Help!)

Love this. People like to think they can't do anything as they get older. That mental state will be a self fulfilling prophecy!

No. The keyboard isn't great and the touchbar is worthless for anyone who is reading HN. Consider getting a Dell XPS, a System76 or a Google Pixelbook for your development unless you're specifically making iOS or macOS stuff.

Yeah it was awesome! But then years later most projects are wasting engineering time to convert their whole code base which is a bummer! That's all I'm saying.

This just reminds me of "Make the Leap from Javascript to Coffeescript" Remember where that got us? This stuff is all really cool and fun to work on, but instead maybe we should focus on changing the JS standard for the better sin

What do you prefer? I can think of a single thing I like more on Slack, maybe two if I'm splitting hairs (it's a dev only thing) but I moved my entire company's internal chats to Discord (where our external chat already was)

I typically use my google pixelbook recently since it lets you run a containerized linux in a secure OS but I get it if that's not your thing. - System76 laptops are generally well reviewed. The Oryx Pro looks nice - I had a Dell XPS15

In these videos, "Autopilot" is mentioned as the culprit, which seems to be a subset of the features Tesla has. It seems to me there are 3 layers: (level 0: Just Adaptive Cruise Control (use radar to adjust speed up to a max). Hum
