Any paths for regulation under capitalism will end in either regulatory capture, or in complete noncompetitiveness like seen in the EU. Either one or more corporations buy out the regulation, stack the ranks with their people and decide on

This is a call to end capitalism. Its completely impossible to do what you suggest with the incentives of capitalism.

No-one cares anymore, OpenAI does not care about the prize either or whatever the Clay institute has to say for that matter. It's about attention, capital and compute. If you can use the result to increase shareholder or company value,

Accountability is not possible when progress moves faster than law. It was noticed around 2023 when it was clear that legal is outpaced by technology that this is a runaway process with no turning back and no accountability. There was a blo

What I feel a bit annoyed by, and what I feel obviously LLM-run ablations like this fail to capture, is any kind of reflection around previous research or any kind of proof that this is the best you can do. You don't know, you pulled t

What if it was an author punching that in, and then refining it to make it sound less like AI? Or an author structuring their chapters with the help of AI? Or an author fixing their spelling using AI? Or rewording sentences using AI? Or an

This points to the bigger issue of people tying their value and identity to their livelihood. There is way too much clout, ego and identity chasing going on in all informational fields. If you instead identified as a parent, as a hobbyist p

We are still human and have human biases and desires, many humans can be good use to for example let rich people express power, experience sexual pleasures, and other emotions that are pre-wired in us. An AI cant be a good proxy for emotion

> It becomes harder to find and therefore listen to music you like when every avenue of discovering music is drowned out with 1000 AI-generated songs for every 1 human-made song. Creative expression and consumption of media are different

Survivorship bias. You can't tell at some point. You probably already are listening to AI songs, and looking at AI images. You can only tell what you know. Given the amount generated daily its more probable than improbable.

You are free to perform create expression, I love writing blogs, my friends like reading and talking about the blogs with me, I dont care if Claude or GPT can write much better blogs. In the same way if it was just about creative expression
