Maybe whatever RedHat is working on. Last I read there are only 2 people paid to work full time on GTK. I'm not sure if they are looking though.

A lot of distributions are trying to remove GTK2 though so it's only a matter of time until that breaks. Slackware will probably still have it though (and they still ship GTK1 which is fantastic!)

My biggest problem with .NET, is how fast it's moving. Slow down! Also increase LTS support timelines. Default is 3 years, which is just not enough. Ubuntu LTS is the model to follow. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us&

I'm doing something similar with a $5 VPS, but with fastcgi/c++/sqlite3. I then have a cronjob that then aggregates error logs, generates an summary and posts to a Slack channel. Personally I wish I didn't have to write

Consider yourself lucky. I had a 2400 bps modem in 1995, my first year on the internet. The ISP recommended 9600 bps but everything seemed ok for 14 year old me. IRC was fine and most websites didn't have too many pictures.

I always wonder what the early c++ compilers looked like. Something that targeted AT&T 2.0 or 2.1 C++, so predating C++98. I guess all we really have to go on is cfront or early gcc (1.15.3 was the first version with a c++ front end). W
