I think it's because chihuahuas and great danes have all the same bits, just with different scales/shapes. Where as entirely new muscles take a lot more work to evolve.

The USA would benefit a lot if it moved to a more proportional voting system. It seem ridiculous to me that such a large country effectively only has 2 parties.

I've stopped using PuTTY and now use MinTTY with the Ubuntu subsystem and the regular old Ubuntu SSH client. Specifically this thing: https://github.com/mintty/wsltty It's real nice and even supports 24bit co

What annoys me the most about the interface is that dialogs ALWAYS open on the wrong screen. Is it so hard to open the dialogs on the same screen as the main window?

Apple emulated PowerPC on x86 when they initially switched to Intel CPUs, and it wasn't too bad really.

Nope, I don't think so. It would be hard to pull off as you might be using the font on an <input> and the user could type any character. Or you could be pulling text in through an XHR and won't know in advance what character

This falls apart when you need multiple scopes as it can't tell how to group the 'AND' and 'OR's. The new Rails syntax avoids this problem.

I use this every single day and it works perfectly. Are you using the default OSX terminal? If so you should try iTerm2 instead.

I can't find anything related to it. It's literally the only feature I use in ES7, so I hope it is in there. Perhaps it has some other obscure name?
