Actually, it seems there is no explanation as to what happens if you choose to opt out. I imagine they are required o ask you by law, but that's why they are trying hard not to make it very obvious.

One thing that is very good about this design and Instacart should adopt are the promoted/discounted items on the top. If Instacart tracked my most recurring purchases, and occasionally gave me this banner-like ads to recommend a discounted

This sounds like a really neat service. Just about a year ago a friend and I wanted to do a filtering app for our own use, but didn't seem to find any straight-forward resources to apply filters w/out doing too much development on our own.

Yeah man. Tests take forever to develop. It's a lot easier to test manually, upon release. Sure, something is usually broken, but the time saved on rigorous testing is worth it.

The point is that under a subscription model these developers would be able to provide you with ongoing updates and quality service, w/out having to surrender to Google.

I think you're right. It's really bazaar why Google hasnt implemented those features into Gmail, but if they were seamlessly integrated into Sparrow, I'd pay.

Paid upgrades are allright, but if they had a subscription model, that'd be even better. Imagine if you could just pay $5/month for Sparrow? If you live inside your email, that's $60/year well spent and for the developers it's a significant

Once in a blue moon you may be able to get a decent design from 99, but if you browse around their site (which has been made really hard lately), most of the work is of mediocre quality. I doesn't do "design" justice.
