I think you're right. It's really bazaar why Google hasnt implemented those features into Gmail, but if they were seamlessly integrated into Sparrow, I'd pay.

- PufferBuffer 14y agoOh, and for all the SaaS-for-desktop-haters, Adobe has recently launched Creative Cloud where anyone could pay $40/month to access any of the Creative Suit softwares. It works great and it 120% worth the money. No reason great companies (like Sparrow) couldn't get together to be a part of a 3rd party store like that (oh! a free startup idea). Alternatively, Apple could simply enable monthly subscriptions.
- youngtaff 14y agoIf gmail starts notifying people I've read their email I'll be switching email services... At the last full-time gig I had we had a plugin installed on the mail server to strip out external read-receipts
