If it is not already, swatting someone should be considered a serious offense, like calling in a bomb threat. Baiting emergency police services to handle personal disputes is absolutely ridiculous.

When a power supply gets old, wonky things start happening and the computer becomes unstable in weird ways. I am not sure the computer/power metaphors are the best fit.

Speaking from personal experience, I moved from VSCode to Doom Emacs a year ago, and the on-ramp wasn't nearly long or as tough as I thought. The defaults are good, and anything else that I customized I actually just used ChatGPT/

Other cross-platform alternatives: Bitwig (1 month free trial, I believe) Reaper (can re-'evaluate' forever) - better for mixing than producing IMO
