Just tried ordering and it would only accept Canadian addresses. Went to the US version of the site and the laptop is $789. Got me excited there for a minute!

As far as networks go Verizon has the best. Unfortunately they believe that gives them the right to treat customers like crap and do whatever they want in the pursuit of profit.

The whole situation would have been completely different if people waited for some context and explanation. Unfortunately pre-judging people based on quick first impressions is something pretty much everyone does. Some are just more vocal

It seems like someone who makes decisions for DivX got a bit greedy. I am curious why Bing though? It seems to me like all the shady "Install this too?" dialogs are for Bing toolbars and such.

That's only one small part of the story. I think the main thing here is that he had an app that he worked on that was rejected because Apple felt nobody wanted it, and then a few months later Apple releases pretty much the same thing
