That's only one small part of the story. I think the main thing here is that he had an app that he worked on that was rejected because Apple felt nobody wanted it, and then a few months later Apple releases pretty much the same thing itself and everyone loves it.

- eridius 13y agoIt's not that Apple felt nobody wanted a weather app, it's that there are a lot of weather apps on the store already. The App Store guidelines do tell you that apps that replicate existing functionality may be rejected. And Apple already had a weather app, all they did was update it to be better.
