I might disagree with this. To me, the joy of the books was developing a deep understanding of the societies and their norms. This felt almost entirely missing from the movies, which focused more on events. This is fine--they're differ

Fwiw--it's not digitally removed, it is just behind her sleeve. In the video she starts in the same pose and you can't see the text, but you can once she moves her arm.

Bit of an aside, but I just checked them out and TIL that Immich (which I use as my primary photos solution) is also a FUTO product (the website says "powered by FUTO"). I'd be giving the keyboard a try!

Unsure how you are intending to use it for 1:1s and meetings--I don't believe this has a camera, so it can't be your primary device you are taking the call on. Of course, as a note-taking device during a meeting, this would shine!

Tangential, but if your table doesn't break in the next few days then you won't be able to report back, since editing and replying to comments get disabled after some days. I don't know what the exact time frame is like thoug

If you're in the US, then I can recommend privacy.com My current bank (Wise) also offers virtual debit cards. I am in the UK now and Wise works well. I still use both since I still have my American bank account though.

I agree, and this is one of the things that are problematic with academia. Not that scientific rigor / work / dissemination shouldn't be rewarded--it should. But so should work like OP's.
