Ask HN: On what grounds can I object to Meta using my info for AI training?
Meta have emailed saying they have a "legal basis called legitimate interests for using your information to develop and improve AI"
They provide a link to a form to object to this processing:

On what grounds can I object?

- beretguy 2y agoJust delete all of your Facebook data and account.
- lobito14 2y agoWhat you do on FB belongs to Meta and they basically can do whatever they want with your data. You're the product.

- reify 2y agoA nuclear warhead by post with a very very very angry letter explaining that, you also have a "legal Basis to stop you using my personal stuff". Apart from that, forget about it and go off grid and accept that you have been a muppet! Do people not think about the future, take responsibility or consider the consequences of their actions. Like sharing all that data in the first place!
