   I think popularity to some extent represents what people are paying attention to and the technologies that are gaining traction. While it shouldn't be the only factor in evaluating software quality, it can serve as a valuable indicator

    I think the biggest difference from Google News Alert is real-time delivery. Google News Alert obviously only sends emails once a day, while I can notify you the moment the news is captured.
