   I assume you can't log in using a user/pass in that server, that's why they use IP addresses. But you could have a web interface where you can log in, and that would communicate with the game server to add your current IP to

   Sorry, I am talking about MMOs exclusively. Some of those also have you compete not only against the enemy team but also against your own team for ranks
