I'm with ya, but that's because I'm an American who finds himself in the UK! Every UK keyboard I use is ever so slightly different, which drives me a bit crazy.

You may be able to host your development environment cheaper. Hetzner works out to be almost the same price as electricity of keeping my desktop up all the time for me.

Ransomware have spread via exploitable, unupdated versions of RDP, which is worrying. Better to listen on another port of RDP must be exposed to the Internet.

There's a large income exclusion that means unless you earn a really kick ass salary, you're unlikely to be double taxed.

They were down for 4 or 5 days last month. Was due to a power issue in their DC's building. They kept everyone in the loop, and it's the only downtime I've noticed from them.

Kimsufi is good (used to be with them), but there are a few drawbacks: 1. Only one IP allowed. No way to request more. 2. No KVM access-- Delimiter has HP iLO I have to disagree about the better hardware as well because even the slower Del

The blade servers at Delimiter ( https://www.delimiter.com/ ) are even more affordable. I pay $20 a month for a dual Xeon blade with 16gb of ram. They did have a very long downtime this year with no service credit, but uptime

I really hope they do drop the limits. I've had no trouble downloading at around 3.5Mbytes/sec+ from Dropbox in the UK. I would have definitely went with hubiC otherwise.

Feels like they're targeting the hobby-box market. I picked up the 16gb model because I think it will make my life a bit easier by moving most of my virtual machines away from home. For the price, the hardware necessary is about $500,

You can also use http://proof.ovh.net/ but the GRA datacenter, where these servers are located, does not have a speed/ping test available yet.

This is their data center in Roubaix. The datacenter these new dedicated servers are available in is in their new datacenter, Graveline (Graveline France). Probably similar spec, though.

Could it be that this is a move to get Yahoo more attention? 30 million is not that expensive for advertising, and pretty much every local news show covered the story of the amazing 17 year old start up founder who was acquired by Yahoo.
