fwiw - our network folks _should_ have fixed this a few weeks ago. Some of the outbound IPs were incorrectly tagged in some of the geoip databases as being in the US when they were not.

Or they did what I did - spent it. At the peak I would have had $8 million before taxes had I not turned it into cash to pay for the electricity my CPU was burning to mine it. Oh well. Good thing I actually enjoy my current job.

I have a few domains I don’t host public-facing websites on - they’re used for either email, or internal things at home, or just hosting txt records. There’s no sane way to validate a domain isn’t in use.

10 years ago we had 802.11 a/b/g - n wasn't approved until October 2009 and not generally available until 2010. In your case I'd imagine these are multi million dollar machines vs a $30 bottom line home router.

It doesn't have to be to their servers - they can just dump all data going anywhere on udp/53 from one of their routers. DNS isn't encrypted, anyone between you and whatever server you're using can see everything.

Google has this neat implementation on Android where your work applications end up in a seperate profile that the company can manage. They can erase that profile but they can't see or manage any data outside of it. This is the only way
