It's not though. Give ten kids from the same class a self study online course and give another ten a private tutor, and they won't see the same score distribution. Where's the signal there? SAT results don't have a line

Probably the most common pro-SAT take I see is: "I wouldn't be where I was today without the SAT, so therefore it must be a good thing." Which is fine. What _is_ narrow sighted is extending that to "Everyone will benefit
